Equipment Boost Slots in Hockey Shop (NHL 15,ps3)

When you enter the boost section of the hockey shop in the top right corner there are various symbols for the different boost vouchers available. 


+3,+5,+5 attribute boost vouchers, Eqipment voucher (skate symbol?) and boost pack vouchersm(flame symbol).

For my guy it has a X6 by the skate symbol for equipment vouchers. What are these?Personally,I didn't even know there were equipment vouchers until I read it on nhl guides, Though I always wondered what that skate symbol was. This means I have 6 eqipment boost vouchers? What are these for, how do you use them?

    I realized what these slots are. They are the slots that need to be unlocked before a +3,5 or 7 boost voucher can be applied. For my pro it shows that I have 6 equipment slots showing. However, all of the equipment slots are already unlocked. I checked the psn store but none of the boosts I've bought for NHL 15 are there as they have been in previous years.

    Last night I noticed my player was unusually slow and went and checked and realized that my boosts were gone and there were a bunch of +7 and +5 boost vouchers in my inventory. I reapplied the boosts. I did not have to reapply equipment vouchers since they were already unlocked.But as I said it shows that I have 6 equipment slots in my inventory.

     Then I decided to deactivate all of my boosts and play again and my player felt pretty much the same, really slow and poor agility. My suspicion is that my athleticism boosts are actually not applied, or not working, since these would be most noticeable in game.

    Any help would be appreciated.
