How do I win a faceoff in nhl 14?

I seem to be missing something fundamental here. I dont have the greatest connection online but its decent enough. I have a 15% faceoff percentage and its absolutely maddening. I want to pull my hair ...

I have same issue. 

On Pro ive won 2 faceoffs only in 10 games! 

On rookie i win 100% 

Please fix!
