@Ringkvist13 I am booting up NHL 20 right now and starting a new Be a Pro..
For the training aspect.. you are able to choose what you train.. similar to assigning points.. so you can choose to never assign training.. and you’ll get very little XP from that..
I simmed 36 games in the CHL… total weekly XP gain without assigning training is 300-500XP scattered across all categories.. skating.. physical.. senses.. shooting.. puck skills etc.. so it can take a long time to level up skating if you never train it… you will get some XP from simulating games.. roughly half of the 300-500 XP is from simulated games.. the other half is from coach assigned training which you can’t stop as far as I can tell… but coach only assigns 1 or 2 things a week which isn’t much..
if you play games you will get more XP because things like doing a stick lift in a game will grant you XP.. same thing with shot blocks, poke checks etc.. you can also lose XP like for getting stick lifted, getting checked etc…
As for the trades.. so far it seems fine.. smaller typical trades.. some rentals.. Spurgeon and Koivu to sharks for two 1sts.. a little excessive.. but that’s the biggest trade that year.. rest are small depth trades.. 2nds and 3rds etc..
During the offseason you will get 600-900 or so even with training off.. but that’s not too bad really..
