NHL 15 Won't Play on old xbox 360

what are nhl 15 system requirements for xbox 360? It wouldn't read my game and it's completely brand new. I know that my XBOX 360 is old, so do I need to do a system update or do I need to buy a new ...

You are welcome. The previous steps may not help if your hard drive is of the external type.

    Yeah, it is external. Also, I returned my NHL 15 and also NHL 14 wouldn't work. Which was odd since my NCAA Football 14 and Tiger Woods 14 will work. The only thing I can think that is different when trying to play EA Sports 15 games compared to the older versions is, my console's drive works "extra hard" which means it's louder then playing the older games, which sounds much smoother.
