NHL for Wii U?

While I was selecting a console, the guy at the store said that the next version of NHL would be available on Wii U?  Is this correct or did I get conned?  Please advise.

    I'm pretty sure that the next version of the NHL Series by EA would stick to PS3 and XBOX360, and also expand to PS4 and XBOne. I don't think it's coming out on WiiU. That's 2K and that production stopped a while back.
