NHL15 PS4 Hard Copy Doesnt open anything but hospitality mode with LA vs NYR?

I purchased NHL15 hard copy brand new at Gamestop and it wont load anything but hospatility mode LA vs NYR. I downloaded the NHL15 content off of PSN, but nothing changes. I deleted the download content and re-installed it a few times, but nothing. Please help, do I have a defective copy of the disk? or something else? I should be able to put the disk in and play with different teams, unrelated with online play, etc. But nothing comes up but the X button to start and goes right to set up difficulty, then goes right to LA vs NYR. No other menus or options. Again I deleted the online content and tried with and with out it, and always the same, just that hospilitality mode.

Thanks - long time EA gamer back to Sega Genenis, 20+ years with EA NHL and EA Madden and used to be basketball. first time I ever had an issue like this with a game. Horrible experience.
