Re: HELP! (hut line changes)

I also noticed that most of the times the fourth line switches after the first line starts the game. Here are a few ways to control for this:

  • Manual line change : Clearly the most effective way of managing your players. You can change your lines manually by pressing B for forwards ( O on the PS3) and X for defense (square for PS3). If you're not used to change lines "on the fly", you can do so while play is stopped. If you really need to change lines because your players are tired, make sure to choose a good moment. Either dump the puck in the opposing zone or go behind your net and proceed making sure you control the puck.

  • Edit Lines : If you don't want to change lines manually and prefer to let the auto change go, you can always switch your second line and your fourth line to "override" the problem in your favor. Just put your second line in the fourth line's spot and your fourth line in the second line's spot.

Hope this helps

  • I use the manual change and for the most part this works alright, but its difficult to stay on top of the changes 100% of the time, especially in a close game. Even switching my 4th and 2nd lines did not work. It still sends out my 4th line guys even when they are on the second line.

    the edit lines won't work.

from my experience, i think the CPU coach (even if you are in manualt change line mode), will analyse the line and put the best one he can in turn of overall stats. so let's say you have 83-83-83 on your 2nd line, but a 80-86-84 on the 4th. he's going to play the 4th first because it has 1 overall point more.
