Stuck on wrong server
I’ve grown up playing nhl... and have always gotten between 15-25 ms when playing EASHL online. But for whatever reason, when I play.... I am stuck on 40-50ms for East games and I am from Virginia!!!...

Ok, well if you are using best location and getting the lower ping it doesn’t sound as if anything is amiss. Maybe your team mate is getting a higher ping and claiming it’s on a further server, but is east?
@Socair @I was able to finally chat with a live representative about the issue and here are the steps they suggested.
1. Restore License in settings
2. Check for software update
3. Turn off PS4
4. Hold down power button for 10 seconds
5. A menu will pop up when the console turns back on and you connect your controller to it, select “Rebuild Database”
Thus... I did these and am about to try it out. Am hopeful, but uncertain. The person guaranteed it would be the fix...
Yeah a power cycle of all equipment can help solve many issues. Should have suggested that earlier. Did it work?
@Socair Nope... didn’t work. I haven’t power cycled the router yet, as I have family members who also use the WiFi for work so don’t want to do it when they need it most. Will find time to do that as well.

Power cycling the modem/router may help. Please try that when you get a chance. Also, do you play on a wired or wireless connection? You mention WiFi. If you have more people at home due to quarantining, the additional traffic on your network could very well be causing higher pings.
