What are the max amount of saves in Franchise Mode?

I've got 4 separate saves and one autosave file and yet the game threatens to not save my progress.  Is 5 the max number of save files? If not, how could I get more?

I have 8, not counting backups, right now.  So you may want to check that you didn't just overwrite your fourth and you actually have more.

And you're not having the game warn you that it won't save your file?

    I am not.  I have had that happen before in NHL 21, but I think I was up to something like 18, not counting backups.  PS4 and PS5.  You can always go to load a file and then delete it to make room.
