Why are sport games not release on the PC?

Seriously, what is the deal?   My PC is much more powerful then these "next gen" systems that were just released and are will be technologically obsolete in 6 months.   I am not buying a next gen system.   I have the microsoft wireless adapter for the 360 controller and want to play sports games on my PC.
