Your username in Sims 4 is going to be your EA ID, so if you ever want to update that, you would need to change your EA ID. However, that Game Specific Identity that you're seeing linked under your EA account for The Sims is your ID from The Exchange on TheSims3.com.
The username for this website is not able to be changed, and does not show when playing the game. It would only show if someone searches your profile on The Exchange, or if you upload content there.
