Bought Spore on steam, yet can't play it.

I bought spore on steam, I finally opened it after a couple weeks, but was greeted to a login screen, I tried to login with my EA account only to be met with an error. I did some research, apparently I need to redeem a CD key on Origin/EA App for it to work. I checked, no CD key, I did more research, turns out. That method has been removed because people abused it, so now I tried contacting EA support, "1 minute wait time" turned into days. Today, I checked my case, it was marked resolved, and I checked what it resolved, nothing. No emailed CD key, no product on Origin/EA App, I can't find the CD key on steam, nothing. So now I'm over here on the forums typing this up, because I have no other option to get a response. Unless I'm missing something, I don't know what to do other then refund it.
