Can't install Crysis Warhead due to VCC Redis

I've been trying for a while now to find a way to install Crysis Warhead from Origin... well its the EA App now but you get the point. I've got the rest of the series installed fine and last I checked they ran, but I can't get Warhead to install at all. It reaches the end of the download and a popup saying the VCC Redis didn't install properly. I've tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, giving it admin rights, everything in the basic list of EA App fixes including changing UAC level does nothing so far. For a little while Steam had issues when you tried to install an additional copy of the same VCC version, however I went through and not only cleaned this up on my PC at the time, but Crysis Warhead appears to be trying to install a version not yet on my system. I was hoping to play through these games coming up during some PTO I have scheduled, and I can deal with not getting to Warhead, but I'm worried about the fact I paid for this product, and so far have no access to it whatsoever. This is a very EA thing to do on a small scale but it doesn't exactly make me want to keep purchasing things on its platform.

I'm afraid its no joy on that one, still the same error as before after trying both x86 and x64 versions, installed separately, but tried in conjunction and solo as well just in case one was interfering. I'll post the error message itself here as well just in case that helps. I do have a question, however, just out of curiosity. I doubt it really matters as it wasn't an issue with Crysis 1-3, but I'm trying to install Warhead on my D: drive, whereas VCC always installs on C:. I've never really come across that explicitly being an issue but I'm running out of ideas really fast on this one.

Check your game install location for installable files, you may need to manually install from there.

Look for something similar to the following path (the below is for Crysis but not warhead) ->

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\Crysis\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist

    Thanks.

I'm afraid that is a no go as well, program files on C: is empty, and the install directory the rest of my games is on lacks a folder for Crysis Warhead entirely. The installers for the base Crysis game appears to be there, with both the 2013 and 2005 x86/x64 installers.

Should I try to create the folder for Warhead, slap the 2005 installer in it, then try to install from there?

I don't know if I'm looking at a glitch or if my last reply actually sent twice. Sorry if that's the case.

Yes, actually that is not a bad idea.

Let us know if that works for you, thanks.

So far that was a no go, I got an "Error creating process due to (string), avdpack.dll"

Right now I'm trying to modify the TEMP environmentals to see if it allows the install, as that's the only thing I can see in reference to the DLL I mentioned.

Alright EA_Barry  I think I got it working, Warhead finished and the installshieldwizard for Crysis Wars just splashed. I don't know what your policy for posting links to other forums is, but the solution was the last post on a linustechtips thread called "Directx - avdpack.dll issue, plz halp". Apparently there had to be some kind of reset done to the TEMP environment for reasons I do not comprehend. Probably OS compatibility, its always seeming to bite me in the behind on these "older" games.
