Controls not working

So for two days in a row now, multiple times in a row I have had my xbox controller buttons completely stop responding causing me to have to close and reload the game multiple times. It's at the point it has become completely unplayable. How do I fix this, I've tried restarting the Xbox, I've tried clearing flies and the cache. I've tried everything I'm ready to Uninstall the game. Anything is helpful at this point.
