How can I log in with my ea account to spore that I bought from steam?

Hey there, 

To log on to Spore with your EA account, you will need to have the game on the EA app. If you purchased the game through Steam, please contact EA Help Support to check with them if they're able to assist you in adding the game to your EA account. 

I bought the game on Steam, same login issues. Then see that EA owns the game bought it also on EA, and having the exact same problem. Can't log in! Why do you sell a game if you can't even use it!
