Hi, having trouble verifying my child’s account. We are on the switch trying to play plants vs zombies battle for neighborville, but every time we click to play online we get asked to start verification. Then soon as we click to start verification it kicks us back to the menu and says we need a EA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Community ManagerUnderage accounts are not able to access the online aspect of the game.
This is not something that we can change it offer further assistance with.

This is an odd situation though, because my son has been playing this game for over a year and only recently EA has asked for additional “I am an adult” verification step (which I did for my other son) but the issue is that the link I received is expired and it isn’t sending any new links - nor does there seem to be a way to do the verification via EA account menu.
I am in the same boat, child previously played on PVZ and now stuck in a cant verify account loop.
This is required to play any aspect of the game.
I believe you are asking a guardian to verify the email, however xbox family settings prevent the child from opening the internet, and therefore submitting the form to provide the parents email address. Therefore the parent can never verify the email
And the child can never play the game.
We use the microsoft family controls to prevent children from accessing unwanted content.
Stop making life difficult for junior gamers, just to obtain marketing preferences.
I ran into this problem too. My son used to play on the Switch all the time. His sister is a year younger and she can still play online with no issue. Its only his account having this issue. I tried to "START VERIFICATION", then it says "CONNECTING" along with "YOU NEED TO HAVE AN EA ACCOUNT" which he does have. His name is still on our online friends list in the game from when he used to be allowed to play with us. There is just a problem with making that connection now.
My son is 16 and is trying to play plants versus zombies. I feel 16 years of age should be fine to play plants versus zombies online (or even add a local user so I can play with him). Were can you change account settings in my EA account to change this? It doesn't even appear to be an option. Also, the game doesn't even allow to enter the 'start verification' and begin a login from MY account. Please fix this.
