Servers Banning me

I keep getting banned from servers even before I'm able to enter the server and I'm not sure why. I used to play battlefield for many years, but I stopped playing for a few years. and now, I want to start playing again but can't seem to be able to get into any servers because they banned me right away. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get back into game play without being banned immediately. Has something changed That I'm unaware of?
