Spore Galactic Adventures Pack Extension on Origins won't start

Hello,

I recently bought Spore Galactic Adventures on Origins. My PC runs under Windows 10 and should be able to run the game (I installed NBA2K18 few months ago with Stea, it requires much more recent caracteristics and it works perfectly).

I downloaded the game, started it on the Origins application. Black screen for 5 seconds and I have a message from Windows saying "Spore Stopped working, Windows is searching how to resolve the problem", the classic message when something doesn't work with Windows.

Can someone help me ?

    Problem Solved.

    Spore Galactic Adventures is an add-on the downloaded version from Electronic Arts will not work with the Spore version installed from CD. It requires the downloaded Orgin version, to resolve the Windows 10 compatibility issues. Electronic Arts tech support provided me with the new downloaded version free of charge since I had my original installation code. If you don't have it they sell it for $5.99, a small price from the $60 I paid for it back in 2009. I will note that the CD version of Galactic Adventures will still work with the CD version of Spore and Windows 10 in compatibility mode.

    Hi Liz,

    I am having the same problem as n9k3

    The solutions you suggested under the other topic primarily address issues with Spore and not Spore Galactic Adventures, Spore runs good on my windows 10 computer but Galactic does not. I have tried all the solutions in the previous topic. I think it might have something to do with the origon launcher.  Any help is appreciated. I have also contacted EA support, if they respond with any help I will update.

    If you installed Spore from CD, then you have to install the Patches of Spore (main game) untill at least Patch no. 4 to be able to start Spore Galactic Adventures properly

    There are 5 official Patches for Spore
