Just purchased game through steam, have a fully connected steam account and the EA app etc, and the game can't connect online. This is completely useless from EA. The other thread "Grid legends stopped working online" has hundreds of new comments saying the same thing, but nothing is happening, so might as well start a new thread.

I successfully managed to link my EA and Steam accounts, but then the Steam browser overlay kept loading for a long time and eventually lost connection. Checked my EA account through browser to see Steam is connected, so I restarted the game and keep getting the message that it's unable to connect and I should check ea.com/unable-to-connect. Someone already posted this screenshot of the message I got.
