As feared the game has gotten too easy too soon.
As the title suggested... the game has lost its challenge far too quickly.
There are a few things in the game that make it too forgiving and thus too easy.
First the flop and pick shots are get out of jail shots. The rough and sand are not penal enough to have any affect in most cases.
Though the lidar mapping appears perfect... the ball physics for shots being received on the green seem overly drastic, yet once on or around the green much too easy. When putting the slopes do not seem to have the roll out they should... and shots around the green receive the ball much to easily.
A shot (even a flop shot) from above the hole in the rough to a green that is sloping away from shouldn't stick like velcro. There should be times you are NOT going to save par when you put yourself in a bad location. In this game the flop or pick will get you within a few feet or less everytime around the greens.
Swing timing needs to be incorporated into the swing mechanic (dare I say like the 2K23 model). It is currently too easy to hit fairways and greens and the size of the dispersion area for some shots penalize a player unjustly for well executed shots.
This plays too much like a game and once deciphered loses its luster quickly. I think you have built a really good base game but it needs some adjustments.
I truly believe your core demographic is the more mature (older) player looking for a true golfing experience.
Check the demographics of who actually plays golf, and you will find it is an older segment of the population.
And the sooner you get multiplayer, and community play up the better as this is where players gather and grow the game.
I would request thst a few things be considered to make the game better.
