heartbeat moment
this triggers for me I'd say less than 1% of the time........
I hit so many "great" shots that this should be lighting my screen up and it. does. not! and it does cost me strokes.....

How is it costing you strokes?
- @jack2k65 because sometimes, the heartbeat shots are so good, that they go in the hole... and without the heartbeat moment.....
Funny enough, I turned off heartbeat moments because they were costing me strokes. 9 out of 10, they were never going in the hole and without it, I can stir the ball in with a spin.
- @-Roasted513- That logic doesn't work. The heartbeat effect or lack thereof has no bearing on whether the shot goes in or not...sometimes it goes in, other times ball is left a few inches off the hole.
The only time they were always going in, 50+ long putts.
- @jack2k65 This is very true. Hearbeats only happen when the ball is ending up inside 12 inches or so. Getting a heartbeat can actually hurt you on pro/arcade because 90% of the time you get a heartbeat on a full shot, the ball isn't going in to hole and because of the heartbeat, you are less likely to apply the spin required to make the shot. Overall, heartbeats make no difference other than hurting you in my opinion you. A pitch shot/putt heartbeat means that the ball is going in 100% of the time from my experience though.
- @packattack04082 i put shots sometimes INCHES to the hole with "approach/finesse" shots from stupid yardages and NEVER get the heartbeat with that, then ill get a heartbeat and the ball will stop 2-3 feet from the pin, stupid IMO

Even though EA Rory was disappointing compared to TW14, I would take that game anytime compared to current game. The heartbeat moment normally gets me inches within the hole, but the next shot would be a lipout or Andrei Vasilevskiy at the net moment.
Maurice Flitcroft is known as the Phantom of the Open. Given the way heartbeat moments and RNG works in this game, the nickname EA Flitcroft would fit for the current PGA Tour.
