Leveling up in Career Mode?

I have earned my XP with career, Challenges.and quick play. As a note, you can earn the same per round for career and quick play. It took me around 160-170 hours to fully level up. Since I played 4 hrs a day, it took me a little over a month to fully level up. 

It's been a long time since I played... but you are correct each successive level requires more XP. You get a set amount of XP for each hole played, and from what I remember a small bonus for meeting small targets like making birdies. I'm pretty sure there is a recap after every round of golf.

So as you can see it is not about how far you are along in the career mode... as much as how many holes you have played and how well you played them.

I doubt anyone can provide a definitive answer, as we don't know what the final XP requirement is, and I am sure all of us gained XP through various ways to max out our characters.
