@EA_Illium>>>
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
Like I said, I've already tried disabling any overlays in the EA app and in Steam. See attached screenshots. Or is it some other setting you mean? If so, what setting?
I can't in any way get rid of the mouse pointer in the middle of the screen and I have to move it all the time so it doesn't make active choices for me in the menu.
Why not just put the following code in the game?
IF a controller is detected, THEN disable the mouse pointer until you move the mouse. Problem solved!

HI @GORFEN Thanks for the additional information! To confirm do you run anything like Discord, Hardware performance software, or additional mouse software that might have an overlay as well? Also did you make any adjusts to in-game visual settings when you first started or are you running the game at a different resolution than your monitor's native one?
If not, Can we try the following if you have not and check if there is any change?
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)

Hi @EA_Illium,
Instead of answering all these questions (even if the answer is NO to all of them) and doing all these tests, I just did another test that also answers all these questions in a better way. I have another complete PC in the household with which I now tested the following:
1. I replaced the hard drive with an emtpy formatted hard drive (which I had as a spare)
2. I freshly installed Windows 10 Pro
3. I installed Steam
4. I installed EA Sports PGA Tour in Steam
5. I press PLAY in Steam and then the EA app is installed and then the game startsPlease note that I have not changed a single setting in either Windows or Steam or installed anything else. I have only done what I write. The mouse pointer is still in the center of the screen all the time in exactly the same way even if I navigate around with the keyboard.
6. I exit the game
7. I disable overlays both in Steam and in the EA app
8. I restart the gameThe mouse pointer is still there...
9. I exit the game
10. I plug in the bluetooth adapter and pair my Xbox controller
11. I restart the gameThe mouse pointer is still there even if I navigate with the controller, and the game knows that I have an Xbox controller because I see Xbox buttons in the menu options.
Thanks to this test, it answers all your questions. The test was performed on a completely different setup, and there are no accessories connected to the computer beyond a standard mouse and keyboard. And there is not a single program or driver installed that can conflict with the game. I dare say that this is a bug that affects EVERYONE with a Windows PC who bought the game via Steam and has an Xbox controller. I only know one friend who also has this game and he has the exact same problem, I have no one else to ask. If no one here can confirm the opposite? Or how do you @EA_Illium explain this?
Is it somehow possible to test the game for free directly in the EA app in Windows? In that case, I can do the exact same test again (format, and so on) but without the step of installing Steam, and then rule out the behaivor being Steam related.
Thanks in advance...
- 2 years ago@GORFEN I have this on my PC as well. After I move it out of the way in the beginning it's pretty much gone. I did make a suggestion in the suggestions thread, much as you suggest that the mouse pointer fade away after it sees controller input. I don't think this is a bug, they just haven't set it go away as yet. Just have to move it away until they do..hopefully in the next patch.

@EA_Illium and/or @EA_Barry:
This bug remains after yesterday's 4.0 patch. Absolutely nothing has changed.
Everyone on PC/Steam seems to have the same issue.
Please, can one of you just confirm that you can reproduce this mouse
behavior and that a fix is on the to do list?
Thanks in advance.- EA_Illium2 years ago

Hi @GORFEN Thanks for updating after the most recent patch to confirm you still see this.
To confirm we have shared this with the team to be aware of. As far as testing myself or working on a fix, the Community Managers only work here on Answers HQ, across different titles and boards.
If I do get any additional updates from the team, I would be happy to share them in this thread.
cheers!
