I think we are all pretty much saying the same thing here.
I appreciate that golf in its own right is a cruel sport in reality - when you are convinced that you do everything right and it can still hit you hard with misfortune, but this is a computer/video game. I am never going to be the next Tiger Woods in real life, but on a game I be even better than him
I also am fully aware of rubber banding / dynamic scripting being in a lot of games, whether it is in Mario Kart whereby 8th place gets the better items than in the person in 1st place, or in FIFA in which it's been proven that scripting has taken place.... but in a one player game isolated from the rest of the world?
As I have said in another post on this same topic, if I wanted RNG, I would go to a casino and play on a slot machine, which is just pure chance.
This is supposed to be a game of skill and accuracy.
If I use a higher power club and I am off a tad, I still kind of expect things not to go exactly to plan, that makes sense in the physical world, but when you get everything right and the ball is travelling in the opposite intended direction to the aim arc and the wind? Just no! It's silly.
