Re: wind

ok.... explain this one, aim a shot, (off the tee) whatever it is, hit the same-ish power on EVERY shot with absolutely different results: and I'm talking feet to yards from target/aim point

It’s RNG all the way. It has been an issue since launch. The Tiger Woods series did not have except for TW11. This did not happen in the TW series since RNG was not an issue. It is even possible to replicate shots in TW. It is almost impossible to replicate a shot with same result with current game due to RNG.

  • @-Roasted513- That's the point that we are all making. The wind isn't the reason that you get different results. You can aim a 6 iron with 1 mph wind on a 210 yard par 3 and have 1 ball land 20 feet left & 10 feet long of a second shot even if you aimed both in the same spot and got 'perfect' impact results. The game randomizes your landing zone so that the game isn't just a math equation every hole where where you do a few calculations and then hit it to within inside 3 feet for 18 straight holes. The random landing zones can be frustrating, but at least it makes you learn to putt and develop skills in other parts of your game. If the game had no random landing whatsoever, it would be a matter of who can hole out the most because anyone who gets decent enough at the swing mechanic and learns the mathematical calculations for wind & elevation will be able to hit it to tap-in range every single hole. In my opinion, the real skill in this game is being able to sink a 30 or 40 footer when you get bad dispersion and save the birdie or eagle anyway. If someone just re-plays a tournament countless times until they shoot a perfect or near perfect round, that seems pretty boring to me. I've been recently playing private SIM matches with a friend on PS5 named Gazak1991 who I think is the best player on PS5 and we play on 18-25 mph winds. We've had about 6 matches in those conditions on some tough courses like LACC, Bay Hill, Valhalla, Marco Simone and I've shot 10 under par or better every single round and as good as 14 under. Being able to adapt to the wind, calculate things correctly, execute a good tempo swing and sink long putts is what makes the game fun for me. I would have stopped playing a long time ago if every shot was just a matter of doing math and then tapping in a 2-4 foot putt.

Just as it can in real life. Dunno where some people get the idea that perfect shots land in the same place every time, from?

Maybe you're right, your game is different. Maybe EA is punishing you for complaining too much. 🤔

@Katybee_1313 I will "complain" as much as I want until -EA- truly addresses the bugs in this game, I'm absolutely certain other people have the same problems I do but don't have the nerve to say anything and those are probably the people that don't play anymore....
I pay/ed for a service and I EXPECT it work just about flawlessly and any flaws that are brought up to be addressed in a timely manner, and -EA- does. not. do that.

Sure, a lot of customers don't like RNG or dispersion as other called it, they went to play the other golf game where there is no RNG/dispersion.  It's all good, that's what 2 products giving a different version of a golf game is all about.

Same with those thinking there's not much simulation in this golf game, and they prefer to play the other game. And then there are those thinking there's not much of a career mode in the other golf game, and prefer to play this one. Customers complain and if they're unhappy with a product, move to what they like to play.

LOL. Totally Priceless. EA could also punish them for spamming the same complaint onto multiple threads every week.

@SlimDown57 because -EA- "thinks" they know everything about everything about all sports games without player feedback

@SlimDown57Of course it is intended as EA wanted it to play. Some were complaining the finesse and pick shots were too easy, EA decided to INCREASE dispersion/RNG zone for those. And EA reward those playing a lot as they get better skill and buy better specs. The 4 holes daily quest at 8 - 12mph today, the leader is -7 with no par 5, and a bunch of them are at -6. Obviously RNG/dispersion zone is not much of an issue for them.

A lot of users are scoring lights outs in every tournaments. Although I'm not a great player, I have been top 10%/winner in every daily tournaments I entered, and never been ranked top 1000.

@Katybee_1313 -EA- gets suggestions for other EA games from the play base and looks into the suggestions/ideas and does something about it, in this game, -EA- doesn't seem to do much of anything
so maybe -EA- is at fault here and not the player/s

They do something in other EA games because the Captain is still there. Like @Weyland4k said on the other thread, the Captain who build this ship left to work to build the new 2K golf game. Most of the sailors left to work on other EA games and the few remaining sailors have a strict roadmap for what is coming with the money they have left. This game is cooked with all the coding, we won't see much else to improve game play issues. I have accepted it is what it is.

I agree that we are at the point of accepting it is what it is. This game is at a worse state than Rory because Rory still had a captain. Most of the remaining sailors jumped to the College Football 25 ship. There is a possibility this game only has one sailor.
