Right but that should matter as much in arcade mode? As for the location it’s everywhere like tee boxes, fairways , sand , and apparently the green too (I love that match play lets me see the other player shot and so I saw it) . Her player hadn’t even moved their feet and the ball went 45° left on a flat green.
I agree with you. ARCADE mode just makes it easier to execute the shot. You are still able to hit a bad shot with poor timing and a bad swing path.
The putting issue could have been a one off glitch. But as I said if the ball is sitting on a side hill it will want to kick to one side. Not realistic granted but it does happen.
Being that you cannot see your opponents swing result meter they may have exaggerated the issue with a bad swing.
As far as the tee box and your other full swings, I blame a lot of that on the RNG. The dispersion that they built in. In my opinion they over did it with certain shots in order to add some difficulty and randomness into the game. I like the concept... they just went a little too far in some cases.
Make the shots harder to execute at higher difficulty levels instead of these oversized dispersion zones. It is effectively the same thing without the large amount randomness. And this way players are paid off for hitting quality shots.
