Game crashes within seconds of opening.

My game locks up or shuts down within 30 seconds of opening. I’ve rebooted my iPad several times. My iPad is running the latest iOS update. I am reluctant to delete the app and reload as that seems to make more issues. This happened on the last PvsZ update and they sent out a patch that fixed the issue. Are others having the issue, and is an update/patch coming?

I have had a look over sub reddit and noticed this problem was acknowledged by an official from PopCap and it should be or may even have already been fixed.
Please DO NOT delete and re-install the game as the fault is NOT from your local device.

Same thing has just started happening to me ,it will start without without wi fi but as soon as I as I start to play the arena it go back to the home screen.

This news got me worry.
Initialy I updated my iphone 14 Pro Max to 11.6.1 last night, tested and all seemed working normal so this morning I updated all the remining iPhones. Currently I am tied up with meetings and will only have time to try Arena after work. I hope the issue is fixed tonight as I am way behind my Mangofier seeds grinding.

I only had the problem for 10 minutes before it resolved it resolved itself.
