Have you try using you device with a different WiFi i.e. from a friend's house just to rule out the possibility the ads blocker might still be active from your internet data provider.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I haven't tried this but will do so. I did try to look for this post that I made and I somehow couldn't find it until now.
I did contact EA Help and they said that sometimes advertisements might not be available in the area that we live in. This doesn't make much sense to me in terms of the completion of the daily activities. If the game require us to complete the daily activities to earn 10 gems and one of the activities include watching an advertisement - then this means we will not be able to complete the daily activities if we cannot watch an ad. So this has been happening where I complete all other activities except for watch the ad and do not earn the 10 gems.

In some countries there are laws restricting ads to young people, iirc Germany is one of them

Hello,
Thank you for the info. Definitely it is reasonable not to allow ads targeting at young people and laws should be adhered to.
Their specific response was this "Video advertisements are not always guaranteed to be available. The availability of videos changes from time to time, depending on how widely companies are marketing their product with our advertisement partners in your location. Video advertisements are not always guaranteed to be available."
I brought up the daily activity because if ads are not available, then why was the 'watch an ad' activity designed? This would mean that people are not able to complete the daily activities to earn the 10 gems.
