Plants vs zombies 2 android unable to start

I downloaded the latest version of pvz2 from the playstore but when I launch the game it says "looking for resources to download" then "download failed because you may have not purchased this game". How could this happen when I downloaded it from the playstore and the obb file is at the correct path.

    I just updated for the far future boss level unlock and now the game will not even launch. I have an error that says "download failed because the resource could not be found"

    When I go back to the play store it shows the app is updated.

    I just updated Plants vs Zombies 2 and the app is trying to download a file.  It keeps saying "Download failed because the resources could not be found".  The play store is showing the app as updated.  I am unable to play this game.  Can someone please help?  I am using a Galaxy Note 3.

    Same problem with lastest vesion on Note 3 snapdragon (SM-N9005) 4.4.2

    No problem on my haier (cdisplay).

    Tried to uninstall /reinstall several times, same problem.

    I now get the message, download failed because the resources could not be found.  the game will not open at all
