EA and the App Store have a copy of your progress, so if you download the App again from the App store with the same Apple ID an identifier conflict will pop up.
I am having a problem with the app crashing and I can’t get into any of the 3: normal levels, penny and arena. EA, please fix!
What gaming devices are you using? I have also notice a crashing issue after starting up, the Luck O' the Zombie image appears briefly and then the App exits by itself.
But if I re-start the App, it then seems to be working, the issue is random and intermittent.
This has been seen with at least on two of my iphones, 5S and 7Plus.
I am using an iPad.
I am using iPhone XR. I’m crossing fingers while saying this: after luck of the zombie has started, I haven’t experienced any crashes so I hope that’s the end of the crashes.

Hmm, so it seems the issue with IOS only so far. I have posted a message over sub reddit and see if any players with Android devices are also being affected.
I am on android, it is the same crash as reported as other people on Apple
Only once I close out of it and re-open it, it refuses to open and crashes to home every single time
