PVZ2 won’t open after updating to iOS 17.5 on iPhone
Is anyone else having this issue?
after updating my iPhone to the latest iOS (17.5), PVZ2 will not open at all - it just opens to a black screen and hangs. I’ve updated the app as well but it’s obvious there hasn’t been an update to fix this problem.
should I delete and reinstall? I am worried I’ll lose all of my game data if so.

I was planning to update my iPhone SE and 14Pro max to iOS 17.5 this coming weekend but in light of your post, I think I will keep using iOS 17.4.x for a little longer. May I ask which model of iPhone are you using?
If you fear that your progress might be reset, my suggestion is NOT to delete the game until you have sufficient backup first.
Do you know your player ID? if not, it is now time to note it down or screenshot it for safe keeping.
Did you register your email address to receive some free gems in past? If so, this will provide an easy method on recovering your progress either on another device or after the re-installation.
EDIT. I have just notice there is a newer iOS 17.5.1 available, it might worth trying this one out before doing the re-installation.
