Sudden unlocked premium plants and upgraded to max levels

I've opened PvZ 2 and hit the Play button, then a moments later the game crashed and I open it again and this was the result. (See pictures below for the results)

My gems and coins was turned from 4 digits to 8-9 digits. then I've tried to check the almanac and I was surprised that my plants was upgraded to the max level. (even the premium plants were unlocked and upgraded to the max level except on Blockoli and Buttercup) I've been feel that my progress was replaced by this in a blink of an eye.

Some players will think that this is advantageous for them but to be honest, this is still a quitely bad news for me. I imagined that playing on the arena with this look me very insane.

Can someone tell me what happened to my game?

  • @Cadm_16  This is a new one on me, I've heard of many instances of resources increasing increasing until the game locks (see resources doubling bug).

    It's good of you to be honest about it.

    As i see it the best course of action is for you to tap help at the bottom of this page and make out a missing content report.

    Explain the situation and ask them to transfer them to my mastery profile and ask them to reset your plants to their previous levels.

    They should be able to do that

    I've been playing for over four years and only have one m200 plant, escape root, this isn't fair quite easily.

    You will need to send them your player id number.

    Please send them to my mastery profile, they can just rest there for a bit.

    @Cadm_16   The image shown is a little strange. 

    I could understand a glitch on the resources data and it might give you M200 plants but this would apply to all plants and not just selected ones.  

    If you look closely to the two plants which had their plant level extended to mastery in the recent update, Boingsetta and Hocus Crocus, you would have noticed these are still in the process of being leveling up.  (I circled them on the image below for easy location.) 

    What I think had happened is, a game save data of either from a hacker's or a very dedicated PVZ2 fanatic's has been copied over to your game.  If you have not lend your gaming device to others to play and or loading mods, then it might have been something that ported across while you were doing something else. 

    In short I think your game is now running someone's game save data.

    I've trying to send an issue to EA.(But not already yet sent)

    I have a question, since my plants were upgraded to m200, can I still play my game as normal? I just want to be sure that I'm not violating the T&C and the game. I'm afraid about the possibility of being banned in the game just because of this kind of resource doubling bug or a possible threat.

    Thanks for the warning @eieio_31310,

    You mean that my game was in threat?

    I didn't lend my device to play or load mods. I found out that overwriting the pp.dat that is located somewhere on Data folders can change the progression of the game but I didn't do anything on my pp.dat.

    This would be little unacceptable to me but I agree to your opinion that someone's has access to my Player ID.

    And also I'll do for now is to stop playing this progress with a Player ID that is associated on my device. I don't want to put my account and my device as well at risk.

  • Greetings! I have been received an email from EA Help Center and here is the info. (See the picture that I attached below this reply.) 

    They said that they need more info which is my Player ID and my Profile Name.

    I have already my Player ID, my question is what Profile Name should I give? My Profile Name on the game or the profile name on my EA Account?

    I am sure they are asking for both the ID and Profile name from the PVZ2 game. 

    The information on this forum does not and should not be linked to your personal game.

  • Hi! I've recently replied to my EA Advisor and they sent me an email. (See picture that I've been uploaded below.)

    I've upload an another attachment on my case regarding to my issue which is the screenshot of my current Player ID for PvZ 2. I clicked the resume button on my case and the website redirected me here (I've attached a picture contains the website of the Contact EA.)

    Do I still need to submit a case or not?

    Sadly enough,that this did't happen to me .(Since I would like a level 200 tiger grass.) 😭 🐅 ☘️
