This update knocked it out of the park! But there’s still a few nasty weeds cropping up:
- Lack of Meteorite Shards/Chunks: Look, I get it if levelling is meant to be endgame, but when you need over 10k of both shards and chunks for a non-T1 plant and, to be blunt, the methods for obtaining them can be just a little stingy, it makes it hard to actually level the plants (especially when biomes have a hard focus on their elements). And with the Dust Exchange likely gone for good with Cosmic Dust’s removal, I’d really appreciate another consistent way to get the currency, especially when you need them to level up a plant.
- Zombie HP: To be honest, I feel some zombies are overtuned. Elemental/Special Elemental Zombies have a lot of HP. I get that there’s an emphasis on elemental interaction, but that also puts people into a stun lock: whereby the “meta” is to use said elemental plants only (along with their choice of sun producer), which’ll be made worse if/when we get more elemental attackers (meaning that it’s ONLY worth bringing that biome’s elemental counter and a sun producer). Maybe dial back the HP a bit so that non elemental plants aren’t punished. (Also, not a big fan of Bowling Zombie’s increased bulk and inability to disable its mechanic)
- Seeds for Levelling I’m a fan of more use for seeds, especially when it’s much easier to unlock the plants! But needing 700 seeds to get Cabbage-Pult and its respective pure fusions to Level 5 when, at most, you’re getting 50ish seeds a day (maxing out the Zen Garden) feels like a bit much. Maybe increasing the Zen Garden gains slightly would work to remedy the issue (especially when you need 5k+ seeds to max out Wall-Nut and all of its fusions! And no plant needs less than 1k seeds to max out all their fusions, even Potato Mine needs almost 3k at minimum, and it’s the “cheapest” of the bunch). I can’t confirm whether duplicate Plants from the likes of the Plant Pass still give their respective seeds (50/80/300 for T1 through 3), but that leaves new players high and dry, whereas players playing since the initial release are easily bagging almost 800 seeds for one plant, leaving an imbalance between newcomers and veterans.
Got faith y’all will knock this out of the park again, like ye did with this update!
