2 days in a row... dead

Let this be a clue, release a game that is hardly finished and kill a franchise. Far to many bugs/glitches and every patch to fix them only adds to the mess. This game is an absolute disaster that is impossible to find a full game in. I have tried to be polite and give credit when due but it’s is time to come clean. This is an embarrassment to the franchise and video games everywhere. I can’t even begin to point out all of the miscalculations and complete lapse in judgments I have come across, most of which defy logic and physics. This dumpster fire’s only purpose is served when “Susan”, the stay at home mom, is to tired to watch her own kids and puts them in front of a video game. That is the saving grace of a once proud franchise. Sad really.

Absolutely. It worries me that the problems people are reporting, even if they don't affect me directly, are widespread enough that they might turn people away from the game.

In my perfect world we would all be able to log into our chosen mode of BFN at any time of day or night and find a full lobby. There are a few other things that I would also include in my perfect world, but full BFN lobbies is pretty high on the list!

Does anyone perhaps have information on why Popcap and EA did not pursue into the Garden Warfare series and just make a GW3?

OT: I heavily agree with many comments in this topic.

Imo, BfN compared to GW1/2 needs a lot of work to even come close to the previous games. I do find the new upgrade system better than the old ones. Though I miss the faster reload speed on most characters!

  • @Provin915 No idea ☹ My ideal world would be my GW2 backyard, with BFN Giddy Park & PvE areas just beyond and Multiplayer & Ops portals with all the GW & GW2 maps as well as new ones. No team-swapping, permanently full lobbies & world peace! A girl can dream! 😂

@ToastedSarnie It's too bad they went this road. I understand a company has to innovate and come up with new ideas, but why change its original recipe. The design and gameplay of the GW series were amazing on both console and PC. Graphically, it is great for kids too.

The sprinting feels awkward in BfN. The massive ability overhaul was a good idea and the new upgrade system too.

I wish they would have stayed faithful to BfN's predecessor's, which in my opinion made Plants vs Zombies an even greater franchise than it already was.

@ToastedSarnie We have a similar opinion on this I see! I always felt the backyard battleground was awesome but underused. I would like to see Giddy Park made a little more like the backyard, would love to see all the old maps return, private matches, and of course always full lobbies and balanced teams!

I especially miss Cactus Canyon. I know it didn't win the GW G&G map they brought forward to GW2, but it's been my favorite map for TT matches, especially at night.

Some others I really miss from GW 1 and 2 are Frontline Flats, Crash Course, Port Scallywag, Main Street, and Zombopolis.

Yea think I'll go back to Overwatch after seeing videos for overwatch 2 and how pvp community will still play together.

    Picture attached.

  • Unfortunately a lot of games from big publishers launch in varying states of brokenness- I've seen worse than BfN though.

I'm playing on PS4 myself and at the times I play I haven't had much difficulty at all finding decently populated lobbies- but currently I'm not devoting anywhere near as much time to BfN as I did to GW2 but mostly because I don't have as much time to spare.
