While I have yet to beat it I know what to do. To bad I can't communicate it to my teammates ingame. 1. Everyone Goes Scientists/Variants preferably the Astronaut or Archaeologist. They have the survivability and mobility. Tanky characters might also work. 2. When the boss appears...DO NOT FIGHT IT. It is invulnerable. 3. When it is time to capture the Anchor Gravestones. Two players have to stay inside while the other two fight the Torchwood Champion/Guardian. Otherwise the Anchor is broken and you have to do it again. 4. After the Torchwood is dead the players are given the task of finding a Candy Pumpkin Bucket. It spawns in a random location. The player who picks it up CANNOT USE ABILITIES and if they die the whole team is wiped. 5. When picked up the players are tasked with killing Champions that drop loot and CANDY that only the Pumpkin Carrier can eat. If anyone else does they die. You have to kill 3 champions and get the candy before the time is up. If it runs out... TEAM WIPE. 6. If successful the boss becomes vulnerable and everyone's damage is increased for a short time. Rinse and Repeat.

Finally beat it on normal and hard. Two scientists and two tanky characters are the most suitable. I did do it with one friend.

Last night I succeeded in a team with a goat, toxic brains and 2 scientists. Imo the goat is a good choise in the team, but not more than 1 is needed and the player should know how to play it well. Anyway normal mode done. Now i just need lucky with the 2 harder ones =)

After taking three candies from three Champions, the Sugar Rush kicks in and everyone rushes to wail on the Epic Spooky Squash. It is important that Toxic Brainz reactivates Toxic Overload when it wears off by punching the Squash. Have someone else get close to the Squash to make it do its stunning smash attack, so Toxic Brainz won't have to worry about being stunned while throwing his punches. Toxic Brainz's punches will deal more damage to the boss than his laser, as well. So after the Squash does its smash attack, go in for some punches, back off, and attack with the Toxic Beam. After the Sugar Rush ends, the cycle repeats again. And after the second Sugar Rush, Two Big Stumps spawn. Take them out before anchoring the next Guardian. Following a simple cycle, and not having to worry about idiots taking the bucket, or eating the candy when they don't have the bucket makes things a whole lot easier, and should result in defeating the Epic Spooky Squash in 3 to 4 Sugar Rushes. Just make sure to take out those Heroes, they can get in the way at the worst of times.

@linger4606 its called the spooky squash bucket hat (although that doesn't really tell you anything either) 🙂And this game mode absolutely sucks with randoms who won't listen to instructions! With a group of two brainz, an all star and a scientist, we were able to beat normal mode with 17.48 mins left on the clock. I'll be attempting hard and crazy with the same group Saturday cos I'm tired of yelling "don't pick up the candy'to randoms. Lol

The problem I am encountering more often than any other right now with random teams is that out of every four players 1 or 2 will not know what to do and cannot follow the verbal instructions which I make certain to provide either because they've muted unnecessarily, aren't paying attention or simply don't speak English. We can get as far as me and one other person Anchoring but then the two remaining players fail to go after the right target. Either both get distracted by the plants or continue attacking the Squash and when one does go after the Torchwood the other does not, and the Torchwood is not something that one person can take down easily or quickly so that usually leads to that Player quitting and at that point 3 Players simply won't be able to finish the Hunt, especially when one still has no idea what to do.

At what point are the two players on the roof able to move about and help?

When the Giga-Torchwood Guardian is defeated. Craftier teammates may try to lure him into the back alley so that those teammates can help, however, they may have enough on their plate simply trying to survive, especially if the Spooky Squash goes up to the roof.

I completed the previous boss hunt on all 3 difficulties, after going to the trouble of finding a group who also wanted the trophies, and had mics.

It sounds from your description that this one is just as hard? If so, I'll probably just ignore it. I saved up 50 stars from the cats vs dinos for this very reason.

I think this one is worse because it is more confusing to people. They don't understand not to shoot the squash when it appears, and they have no idea what to do with the candy. The biggest problem is that even if you have a mic, the random group you are stuck in won't listen and has no interest in working together. At least that's my experience from trying about 15 matches. I'm lucky to get 3 stars. It's going to be painful to get to 50.

On a side note - I wish they would just limit it to scientists. Why allow a team of four soldiers (as an example) who have no chance of surviving?

The thing that helps is just to remember to not shoot at it at all. If you do it will go after you, if you leave it alone it might shoot at you once or twice, but it will go away.

I played one match with randoms, and it seemed like it was going to go well. No one was on mic, and it seemed to fall to me as all star to pick up the bucket. So far, so good, but then every time, someone else would eat one of the candies. I left the game after the third time this happened. I think three of us were on point and the fourth was the candy burglar.

Anyway, cheers to the two scientists who knew what to do. And wouldn't it just figure that the one who ruined things was a super brainz??

Lastly, I think this game could have been saved using mics. I had unplugged mine, so I couldn't set the fourth player straight, which was a mistake.
