Thanks for getting back to me. As a test, can you change your connection to use a mobile hotspot? If so, connect your console to that and power cycle it. Then, see if you can connect. Let me know what happens.
Good idea! I will try tomorrow.

Sounds good. Just get back to me when you can.

It’s not internet connection DNS settings or such like. It’s EA’s servers which are at fault. I have a case open, I’ve posted about it in another topic regarding the same issue (might be worth merging the topics).
EA need to get on top of this, it’s GW1 and GW2 and appears to be EU servers affected.

Are you able to connect using a mobile hotspot?
I tried to use a mobile hotspot this morning, and it works!
so what gives?

Hi all
it seems that the issue is now solved. The server access has ben restored as before.

That means this is an issue either with your ISP or home network. Have you tried contacting them to see if they are noticing any issues? You shouldn't have to play over a mobile hotspot.
If you are now able to play as normal on your connection, you may have just needed to connect to a different connection first.
- 3 years ago@EA_Aljo Explain to me, why is this potentially an ISP or home network issue?
1: load game, connecting to EA slower than it should be, really slow at times.
2: Connects to EA, levels and stats etc all supplied
3: Unable to connect to a session in any multiplayer mode.
Zero problems with any other games, everyone including EA games such as Fifa, Battlefield, all connect without problem. Reset of router, xbox etc. doesn't solve the problem and the reports are coming in from different countries in the EU that players are unable to connect to a session.
This indicates that the problem is server related and nothing else. - EA_Aljo3 years ago

We'll keep an eye out for other reports. For now, try clearing the alternate MAC address with these steps:
Go to your Xbox Settings
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"Let me know what happens.
- 3 years ago@craigf136 There has been a problem affecting European servers for both GW1 & 2, which seems to have now been resolved (see solved thread "Multiplayer issue for 5 days on Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 1") but it's worth noting that in both games you still get error messges saying problem with servers when you load the games. Disregard the messages & go into whichever game (& don't panic if your rank is 1 in GW1, it'll revert to the correct level when you go into a match) & you should get in fine
- 3 years ago@ToastedSarnie Thanks it is working now but it’s infuriating that EA refused to accept there’s a problem and forum support staff haven’t got a clue about.
