Can't Connect to EA servers for PVZ battle for neighborville

The servers refuse to let me play the game. Every time I try to log into BFN, an error pops up and I don't know why or how to fix it. The error says, "You have been disconnected from the PlayStation Network and the EA Servers. You will be unable to access any online features until you sign in." My network connection is perfectly fine, so I assume it is a server issue. If anyone has a solution, please help!
