Discussion: Customizations (From Normal to Gem)

In the odd varying free time in between completing the stickerbook, I tend to use some of it to fully customize my characters. However, customizations like a majority of diamond and gold really do not mesh well with character designs due to how sparkling glimmer contrasts or heavy anti-aliasing in part to shading on gold/silver.  In addition, I am finding it difficult to understand the importance of special customizations outside of getting it in certain events like infinity or character missions.  Gem can work really well for certain outfits, but it is unfortunate that it comes in only one color and cannot be manually selected to reflect well with an outfit.  What are your thoughts and opinions? If there were more variations or distinctions in the cosmetics would that help?

  • Yep, this is a big problem with customizing your characters. The other problem is what the things you get are random and they never complete a set. I seen people with the best cosmetics what aren't even special but yet I don't have anything like that. Some sets even come with different colors what do not match each other.

  • I would love to see other colors of gemmed items. Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, etc. would all have a shiny look and give us more colors.

I still wish we had an easier system of selecting the customizations as I've said before, it takes forever to scroll through a single vertical line to pick the one you want. Also letting use save outfits for characters (and link abilities to the outfits) would let us rapidly swap things around, especially so we can use different legendary hats on the same variant would be great.

  • Personally I think less is more for this topic.  Don’t get me wrong, I like some of the gold, silver, etc.  A majority of them I do not care for.  I like guards idea of sapphire or ruby type customizations which we kind of have with gem, but a select few that I like.  If more focus was put into characters individually rather than the majority.  I’ll throw a couple ideas out too; gun metal, mirror, and maybe a a chameleon cosmetic that changes randomly after each kill.
