Future Updates

Ok so the first Update rolled out and me and my friends prayed the Rose was "balanced" as they promised. To my surprise and curiosity some Charcters were nerfed and buffed.

The Rose Nerf was great, but her health is useless, Damage is fine, snare, goatify, and Arcane. All fine. Targeting shouldn't have even been a thing in the first place so she's basically useless without it and the rate of fire she has is pointless to even try and taking on hoardes and even defending plants. Her abilities don't "technically" have a support role. But I guess it's the thought.

Kernel Corn's Health and Damage from Range. Damage balancing took a long time to get right but it's good now, and the health wasn't needed but it's good so he doesn't die going into the "Frontline".

All Party Characters shouldn't have been nerfed, they're "Legendary" Charcters with benefits and now the Party Citron, Rose, Corn, and even Brainz is useless. And don't get me wrong they're "Crazzzzy!" But they're useless. They don't need degrading from how valuable they are. Even thought they're costumed versions of the original variants doesn't mean they should be nerfed.

Citron needs a damage buff.

Chomper is just Chomper. Don't change it.

Cacti, are great, just don't get the Nerf of Zen? Like why?

Peashooters are ok, just a little buff of damage? Electro Pea is a little at the bottom of the food chain.

Flowers are just flowers, maybe more damage for Alien Flower. But that's it.

Foot solider's need damage buffs.

All stars may need a buff in damage but just a few need it like the Hockey. It's terrible.

Scientists are fine as usual.

Super Brainz, The original variant and party variant need a Heroic Beam buff.

Engineers are fine but maybe variants not used mostly need buffs in damage.

Captain DeadBeard, SharkBite should be toned down a bit, Ammo capacity should be lowered, or rate of fire of "Zoomed" shot. It just has tremendous damage. Also noticing a delay when shooting down Parrot and or Garlic Drones.

I've also mentioned the "Spotting System" it's a thing that shouldn't be in the game only if boss mode is in it and it "should" be in this game. The fact that I can see plants across the map for no reason and how most people can't even flank or take me by surprise has no flavor and or nostalgia to the game as the first one did. You actually had to destroy the spotting stations. I thought about this before and had an idea for an ability for one of the of plants and zombies to have a "spotting station" and plant it and whatever plant and zombie walk past they get spotted. It's very important because it's hard to get those flanks and actually win as a zombie and or plant at times.
I thought maybe the Engineer and or Rose could have these abilities and help out the team and have that Support Role Callsign.

    I think that the scientists range needs boosting a little,yes i understand the "short range" but look at the archaeologist, he has ten times the range compared to a chemist shooting kernal corn at point blank

    what im saying is your so called "balancing update" did nothing. id rather not die a few million times as a scientist just because his range is horrific(partly my skills too but thats not the point)

  • The short range Scientists can actually be incredibly devastating in the hands of someone who adapts their play style to suit the close combat environment.

    The key to doing good with them is to understand the weapon characteristics; each Scientist variant which has a short range has a particular shotgun-style damage spread which you should become familiar with because the wider the blast the better you can use that to your advantage when you're up in the faces of your Plant opponents.

    You also need to learn to use your Warps effectively to get into, and out of, close range combat since they are key to your survival and combat effectiveness so don't waste them in just moving across the empty map.

    Some of my best combat performances with a Scientist have been while using the Chemist, both in terms of total vanquished as well as in vanquish streaks.
