I have just downloaded Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare for my son only to discover it can't be played on a Mac. Is this the case? Can you please advise whether I am eligible for a refund as soon as possible if can't play on a Mac?

The game indeed can't be played on Mac. From the system requirements:
Operating System: Windows 7/8 64-bit
The Frostbite 3 engine hasn't been ported to Mac. That means no games that run on it (Dragon Age Inquisition, Battlefield 4, Battlefront, Garden Warfare) can be played natively on Mac.
