[IMPORTANT QUESTION]: Recommended Team Composition for Upcoming Boss Hunt

Hello,

I was wondering what was the best possible team composition for the upcoming boss hunt Kings Day Out. I've looked on the internet and on youtube for videos that might explain the best team composition but none of them seem to give a definite answer, however I have narrowed it down to a few classes:

-Sunflower

-Peashooter

-Citron

-Corn

I've also narrowed it down to a few classes:

Peashooter: Electro Pea, Toxic Pea, Fire Pea

Sunflower: Power Flower, Stuffy Flower, Vampire Flower

Citron: Citron, Electro Citron, Toxic Citron

Corn: Kernel Corn, Commando Corn

My Theoretical Composition:

1x Toxic Pea

1x Toxic Citron

2x Vampire Flower

This is my theoretical composition (so feel free to criticize it) I don't actually know if it's a good composition, it just sounds good on paper, but here are my justifications for each class:

Toxic Pea: In the end I narrowed it down to Toxic Pea and Electro Pea. I chose Toxic Pea because:

A. He damages enemies near him

B. He has tons of splash damage

C. He can hit the Popsicles from far away

D. He deals Toxic Damage

Toxic Citron: Honestly It wasn't that hard for me to decide on this one:

A. He can move fast in ball form

B. He deals tons and I mean TONS of splash damage

C. Creates small clouds of Toxicity that contaminate enemies which walk through them

D. He deals toxic damage

E. He has high health

F. When he's not in ball form he hurts enemies near him

Vampire Flower: Vampire Flower and Stuffy Flower are both popular in this boss hunt hover I chose Vampire Flower because:

A. She can Heal herself without vanquishing an enemy or without using her heal flower

B. She is very accurate (great for shooting Popsicles)

C. She does not have Primary Weapon Seizure (if she does it's hardly noticeable)

D. She deals high amounts of damage (Great for shooting Popsicles)

Yes, it's hardest and most frustrating one because of the freeze effect (and spinning attack of disco zombie).

But remember that popcap nerf them so it should be less frustrating that before (except artic trooper). This guy can still easily freeze you on the roof, watch out for him. So pair the team with sunflower, and plants a lot of pots. Those zombies will get distracted and attack the pot first. This will help as well.

This's the only boss hunt which I haven't nail the crazy level yet so I'm looking for partner (PS4). So If you looking for partner, send me private message.

I'm level 44** with most of characters are mastered, play on US west server and plan to play on Friday night and Saturday and Sunday morning (PST time).

  • Yes to all of the above suggestions.

Since we are on topic,  im also missing this crazy mode, scrumptious hat for the corn.  Im at max rank and can play sunflower, or peashooter or corn, but prefer to

do the brunt of the work and i play best as stuffy flower.

Send me a Private message so we can team up and schedule a workable play time.  On xbox1, west coast server.

@asukojo  I'll try to get some folks together for Fri night.  I can't play in the mornings.  Unfortunately, most of my boss hunt friends don't even come on until around 11 PM.

I would like to stress the importance of getting a Corn up on top of the roof of the bridge near the Bait site; Commando Corn is an excellent choice if you can get the timing of his legendary mode to coincide with the Popsicle spawn.

My personal choice for Sunflower is the Stuffy Flower since her vanquishes drop Healing which can help out the team, and if you have the Rainbow Healing flower you'll definitely want to use that on this Hunt. Another good tactic is to keep an eye out for enclosed areas like the lumber mill and under the bridges and inside the log for shelter during the fight with the Yetis since the overhead protection prevents you from being hit by the hail that they call down.

It's also possible for Sunflowers and other characters which don't have an exceptional jump to get up on top of some of the rooftops near the Bait site as well, and getting off of the ground whenever possible definitely makes the process much easier. It's not easy but it can be done.
