Error messages about Intel video are misleading. No matter what driver is tried, Intel chips aren't supported in this game. You must both have a dedicated video graphics circuit board inside the PC, in order to qualify for support, and you must make certain it is ACTIVE all the time when you want to start playing the game.

Read the first comment to the thread. You could have twenty seven video devices packed one atop another, and if none were actively rendering anything, it makes no difference at all!

Sometimes laptops have two graphics solutions (i.e. Intel + nVidia). You want to be using the most powerful one; to do so go into Nvidia Control Panel, 3D properties, find PvZ2.exe, set it High Performance Processor. For AMD it's in Catalyst Control Center under Switchable Graphics.
