How do I switch from Plants to Zombies on single player mode on P vs. Z: Neighborville?

I want to play as Zombies offline in the story mode. How do I do that?
- @Bghnbbbghgf go on zombies side, and look for pve regions. (respawn click triangle/y)
I am really new to the game. What are pve regions?
When I go to Giddy Park and switch, then I leave Giddy Park to story mode, it keeps switching back.

The single player mode in Plants vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville works like this:
The plants and the zombies have their own regions where you first spawn when starting the game (Dave's Mansion and the z-Tech Factory). These are connected by Giddy Park. In these hub regions, you can travel to different single player regions by talking to the NPCs. Once you are in those single player regions (also known as PvE regions), you can not switch teams. Each region was design for either plants or zombies. The plants can access Town Center and Mount Steep. The zombies have their own version of Town Center, as well as another region known as Weirding Woods.
These regions have missions to complete and bosses to fight as the last mission.
Because those regions are specifically designed to be played by one side (plants or zombies), you can not switch sides when playing them.
