Is there any chance you ever found a solution for this issue? I am experiencing the same thing on my Xbox just trying to collect the "gifts" that I paid for, and it just freezes and won't give them to me, rather frustrating to be honest. Then of course, EA clearly does not care whatsoever because I have tried and clearly other people like you have also tried posting it on here and there has been no solution to fix the issue...
