Purple or Green pixelated fog on R9 380 cards.

When playing a solo game of PvZ Garden Warfare 2 on an R9 380, me and another person I've talked to get green and purple pixelated fog. I don't know the range of AMD that this affects, but this guy had the same card as me.

Attached is the reddit thread and his quote, as it is very detailed:

"I had the same issue during my 10 hours of early access, it happened on any Ops Maps, Infinity it wouldn't happen unless I was with another person, and if you're not solo in the backyard battleground then it happens too. I didn't have any issues with it in the Backyard BattleGround until a friend joined, then it started cropping up.

What's also weird is it's green if you're a plant, and purple when you're a zombie, which also points to it being a bug in the game.

On another note, it hasn't happened once in multiplayer for me, so there's that at least, it's annoying but thankfully not gaming breaking to the point of unplayable."

Just a heads up,
I managed to get the green and purple fog to go away with the 16.3 Crimson drivers.
First, I ran the Display Driver Uninstaller utility from Guru3D.

Might as well grab the drivers while you're doing that, too:

Extract, run, reboot into safe mode, uninstall drivers, reboot again, install 16.3 drivers, reboot a 3rd time after installation, and viola, it was gone.

I summoned 3 AI players and planted the garden in a Garden Ops match, which is where the green/purple fog would appear whenever I would summon an AI player. Oddly, the fog would only appear whenever the character was in my view.
I don't know if it matters, but I did overclock the card right away from 980 to 1100 GPU, and memory from 1425 to 1500.

While playing multiplayer ops, either with ai or a real person and I look in their direction the majority of the scenery turns green and gets pixelated. If playing solo no problems occur. Playing on Win10x64 Build 10586 Using a Radeon Fury and 16.1.1 drivers.

Hey @geeked

Could you run the repair through Origin on the game.

Would you also have a screenshot of what you're seeing? And could you post up a dxdiag for us to look at.

I did the repair but I can't do a screenshot now since the 10 hour trial is over, if the problem still persists when it's released then I'll post one.

Ok, since it's released I'm able to see it again. It was also present in someone elses backyard. For whatever reason when trying to take a screenshot it wouldn't show up but I took a picture with my camera to show what I'm seeing.

To update, when I'm a zombie in ops mode or in someones backyard the color I'm seeing is purple instead of green.

Do you have the latest version of your graphics driver installed? If so, was it a clean installation (meaning you uninstalled the previous driver first)?

it would also help to post a dxdiag report.

1. Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
2. You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
3. Type dxdiag in the text field
4. Click OK
5. If your computer has a 64-bit version of Windows, click the button Run 64-bit DXDIAG (see screenshot below)
6. If your computer has a 32-bit version of Windows, that button will not be available

7. Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
8. Save this text file to your Desktop if possible
9. Open the text file, select all the text inside (Ctrl + A) and copy it (Ctrl +C).
10. Go to http://hastebin.com/, paste the contents of your DXDiag inside (Ctrl+V) and click Save on the webpage (Ctrl+S).
11. Copy the link of the page in your post, along with a precise description of your issue.

Can't say for the other guy, but for me, yes I have the latest AMD beta drivers installed as of 2/4/16. I'm not at home so I can't post a dxdiag.

Was it a clean installation?

I don't have the game yet, but I can test it on an R9 390 once I do.

I can confirm we saw this during a Zombie Co-Op run last night. If support needs it I can provide some video showing it happening.
