Indeed, we always played until 25K maximum and thus got all the party characters. Not every time, because it really took us a lot of games. Later on, one of us wanted to have the matrix-like accessories ("infinity item" or so), and we mostly played until a bit over 20K. Someone always got an infinite item, the other a "fabulous" one (the extremely colourful hats), the third one money, but never only 2500 coins. I think it was around 30.000 coins. It was the same when we didn't get party characters: So after 20K, better at 25K shards, there's always been a character piece, money (a lot) or the other special items. We mostly played with 3 people, sometimes with two.

You should really not stop before 20k and don't go much over 25k, like pandareno1999 said. - 2500 coins used to be the price for only one boss down.

But kudos for playing until 100k shards! 😮 I'd always fear that the game crashes (it sometimes did before), plus it's soooo repetitive. Still can remember the time when these gnome sounds haunted me even in my dreams... And for all that struggle you got no reward. Sorry for that! ☹️
