Re: Taunts (Pics & Speech)

@ToastedSarnie It’s unfortunate that this game has come to this point. Sadly, I’m afraid very little can be done to stop this. This is the environment that unfortunately sells product and makes money for all game producers. The best you can hope for is that people call out these shenanigans in game. I have noticed that when I say something, the action in question typically stops. Once people learn that making someone else feel just as bad as they do, doesn’t change the fact that they still don’t like themself; the quicker they can become the person they really want to be.

Sorry you had to deal with some punks. 🤙

@GraveledStoopid Thank you - yes, sometimes calling them out works, other times it just encourages them because they're delighted to get a reaction. Such a shame in what's supposed to be a family-friendly game 🙄

@asabaida There should definitely be a lot more friendly & useful ones, as you suggest - including "I need chocolate!" perhaps? 😂

Unfortunately @GraveledStoopid is right and it’s not going to go anywhere .  It would be nice if the quotes were categorized and we had the ability to shut certain categories off.  Or change what we see so it looks like the person is just embarrassing themselves.  So instead of seeing to poo emoji, we would see a crying princess face or something else ridiculous.

  • @dwooten77 I'm not sure if you meant it to be serious but I actually really like the idea. Having the ability to disable taunts and emotes you find offense would be really nice. It should disable them for you & all opponents to level the playing field and of course would only change what you see in game. You have a peaceful game and others can assume they were ruining your day. Win-win. They wouldn't even have to sort them into categories (since people might find different things problematic), just have a toggle on/off for each item and perhaps an "all" option. I doubt time and effort would be put in to doing this but I think it's a great potential solution to make this part of the game family-friendly again.
  • @TLEsquire I know I’m not usually serious on the forum.  That’s how I have to be to not get to wrapped up anymore.  I would love to see this implemented but there are far more concerns that need to be addressed.  If those are fixed then I would push the idea a bit more.

  • @ToastedSarnie Thank you sooo much for mentioning this! This was the main reason I logged off last night and it continues to get worse every day!

Edit: When I first found out about the snipers in giddy park glitch, (https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Sniper-Drones-in-Giddy-Park/m-p/8634980#M12106) I walked up to the person cheating and did the frustrated emote, in which he responded with the what smells its you and proceeded to do the laughing taunt.

Wow, taunters are just so... fun, aren't they? XD

@PineapplePiano 😬 Ugh!! I've not been online much lately as I've been doing stuff on my son's profile, but if I'm on anytime you're getting frustrated, let me know & we'll go into something together - even if it's GW2!! 😂
