Rushing through gardens or graveyards

I don't really know how to resolve this issue. The games that last to the maximum potential as far as time goes, are the ones I enjoy the most. I wish there was a way to reward players coin wise for longer games. It just feels like a waste when you literally don't stop moving until the end of the game.
That being said, there are times when you'll roll through two gardens/graveyards and just hit a wall. This is an area hard to control as a single player. It's one thing to help your team get through an area, but another to actually slow it down. If I'm in a party with four or people then it's not as difficult to manage.
The amount of variables that consider these things is endless in my opinion.
In the future I hope this is considered for future games. Which I'm still hopeful for regardless of the recent news from popcaps GM. Some sort of noticeable bonus for making games last.
I'd like to hear your opinions whether good or bad. Maybe there's something I haven't considered as to why this could hurt the game.

  • I know what you mean, the closer games that get down to the wire tend to be more exciting, but in a way we do get extra xp and coins from longer games although indirectly. The longer the game goes the more vanquishes and assists you get, the more summoned bots, pots, and mobile NPCs you can summon, and the more capture/defense points you tend to get. Those games where you get to the last point tend to yield a nice chunk of coins.

Some of the maps in GW1 had more capture points than the standard 6 in GW2, maybe in GW3 they could have more longer maps as well?

  • One of the things I'm disappointed with is the fact that there is a maximum limit on the coins which you can earn in a particular game mode; for example Gnome Bomb will never award you more than 19,000 PvZ coins.

It's a little frustrating at times because just this week I participated in a Multiplayer game of Gnome Bomb in Frontline Flats where the score was tied at 2/2 and went into Overtime, which isn't unusual, but then both teams were so determined on defense that the Overtime stretched out for nearly another 40 minutes of game time before the Zombies finally managed to pull of the win.

Almost every player had dozens upon dozens of Vanquishes and Assists, Healing and Revivals and for our hard fighting and frantic defense and teamwork for what was essentially about an hour straight we simply got the maximum reward of 19,000 coins and that put a bit of a sour note on what had been, up until then, a very fun game.

@Iron_Guard8 Completely agree. The experienced now how to make the most of a game. Bots, building teleporters, combos, etc. I just wish there was an end of the round bonus that players could noticeably see vs. quick text in the bottom left corner. @realitysquared. It's few and far between for me to have that kind of round. Intense games like that are my honey. Rounds like that should get bonus rainbow stars at least.
