Should PopCap have weekend events to reward players?

I was wondering if PopCap should/could have weekend expereince events where - experience, coins and even shards (infinity mode) are doubled. Seems to work in other games, and rewards player loyalty.

I wouldn't be opposed to this. It'd give popcap some time to scheme up some fun new community challenges...if they're coming back.

I loved the community challenges, would be nice to see them re-introduced in the near future. as for weekend events, yeah it would be nice, but keep it special or linked to certain calendar events like Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc

They could hide Easter eggs or Christmas stockings around the back garden that contain coins or a special gift etc.

    They did it in the previous game, so I'm sure that they have already planned most of these events.

      The CE on  PvZ GW 1 were actually what kept my and my other half playing as long as we did. If they don't bring this to GW 2 then they are dropping the ball.
