#TypicalCommon Nutella/Yogurt Kid Answer.
brah.
"I hope you guys are seriosly joking.", when someone says this it means they are calling your ideas a joke. I wasn't joking I think the sunflower needs more help in the support area. Furthermore just because you play something doesnt mean it's fine as is. Plenty of people played Electro-brainz pre-patch and he was clearly not fine.

Except the fact that is support ability got already buff, overall since gw1.
As far as i see on wikia, unless it's not trolling me, from the first game the sunflower pot cooldown was already reduced... and now has been reduced again.
The damage maybe was not something she needed, but it's something that is not making her op.. so...i think she got a very decent buff.
And no sorry, i think she's in a perfect spot right now, she's strong but well countered. She's not easy to play, she requires awareness you could argue, maybe because she's still "immobile", but not necessary means she's weak.
She already got a very good buff and all sunflower mains in my friend list was already extremely happy, i also checked reddit and there is a guy kwown by everyone called hit and score that main sunflower since gw1 and told me he really apprecciated that buff.. so i wasn't only consider my personal thoughts and what i play, but also checking what other people thinking around.
Sunflower is a support character, the actual scoreboard doesn't really reward anything but kills, that's why people thinks sunflower seems weak, but isn't necessary like that.
What am i saying she doesn't need to reach top kills to know that you CARRY the match, can you understand my point of view before trolling me? thanks. - 10 years ago
I don't think anyone understands your point of view.
You don't make sense and you can't string a sentence together properly.
PM me if you want some help with grammar and spelling, or how to be as good as me.

I am not trolling you, and I appreciate your in depth argument. Of course I appreciate the pot buff and the buff to her damage. But I want more versatility. All her upgrades are essentially combat upgraded, speed, reload, damage, clip size, etc. The other let's be honest are all kind of useless and this applies to classes beyond the sunflower. My main point is I want to support more with my sunflower and combat less. There are plenty of all combat all the time classes such as citron and especially corn.
I think it's great that you have people that see things from your point of view, as you can see on this forum there are people that see things from my point of view. Would it really be so bad if there were more options for people that wanted to engage in a more support style of game play.
Furthermore, my pots will get instagibbed unless I set them near a cactus that is sniping. If I take them to a contested zone in suburbination, gnome bomb, turf takeover, etc then my pot gets OBLITERATED right after it's first set of heals drop. compare the health on a pot to the health on a healing station. Also when defending a point sunflowers can get one shot by tackle, imp punt, sticky bomb, gravity bomb + impkata, etc. It makes playing support very difficult. Sure if I want to play back with the cactus I could live and heal all day, that is assuming they need the heal. however supporting objectives is almost impossible as a sunflower.

Gonna throw my two cent here.
Was one of the few people that considered sunflower to be balanced last patch. Considering the community here was just thinking otherwise for the most part,I just left that discussion flow by after a while before we eventually got that sunflower buff we wanted. Honestly I kinda like the buff she got, mystic flower is now a hidden monster and bunch of her other variant got buffed more or less. Heal flower only having a 5s downtime due to the cooldown buff is a boon too. There rarely a time in which I just don't have a heal flower to heal myself with now.
I kinda like where she coming up right now. I like how sunflower isn't a strict support healer that exist just to help his team win just by healing stuff, that would be boring, she more a threat then most people seem to think. Her shot are rather accurate, she have a great ammo count and aren't lacking at damage either, she good at any range, not excellent at any of them, just good. Sunbeam as a offensive (or defensive) threat also seem to be rather underrated. 40% damage resist during is nothing to laugh about, when next to a heal flower, she's way tougher to take out when most people think.
It weird for me to say it,but seeing that sunflower,a healer, seem far from being mandatory in game where they're generally important,is kinda something that should be noted.

@Boolerex those are all great points and I see what you are saying. I think at the end of the day maybe just a better selection of upgrades for people that would like to emphasize healing and support over raw damage would be nice. Because I think we can all agree that some of those upgrades are worthless. What upgrades do you take on sunflower? Currently I use damage, clip size, and speed. I've been thinking of dropping speed for reload speed though. I just wish there were other upgrades like, better healing, pot health, or even one that increased the range of my heal beam.
Lastly can't they make rainbow heal beam actually do something different other than a cosmetic difference?

Just to be clear I think it would be fine to keep the offensive upgrades as well, just replace some of the weaker ones with support oriented ones is all im saying.

Most class pretty much have general "worthless" upgrade for the first few level. Health regen delay is only useful as a filler, zoom upgrade is very situational and bugged in top of that. Heatth regen is also only useful as a filler and finally, speed just barely boost anything at the first place. It only once you start getting to advanced rank that you get the interesting stuff.

Reload speed, ammo and damage is my go-to build. Although I sometime replace reload speed with health. Vampire flower probably want a hp upgrade somewhere too,as for the rest, didn't leveled them enough hue.

At least rainbow heal beam is just a cosmetic change instead of being worthless like some other alternate abilities hue.

I disagree with boolerex upgrades.
Run:HpDelay
Hp upgrade
Damage
on every sunflower besides Metal: use HpRegen instead of HpDelay
Hp Delay is extremely good for self-sustain on squishy characters.
Besides that, i understand your point of your character being weak to everything. This is a proove of a very well game balance.
Sunflower Pot is generally better than Heal Station to heal a single person.
Think if sunflower was tanky, dodgy and instead of heaving the root beam a teleport AND ranged damage AND more healing compare scientists.
What do you think the game would become? A completely MESS.
Healers already force you to focus them in fights. They need to be weak otherwise the amount of unbalance come from them can really break the game alone. Sunflower need two things to be played:- accuracy
- map awareness
- prevision
you mostly have to know when you're in danger and when you're not, and the amount of reward you get is insane.
Scientists have the two warps and can be played much safe, but, he lacks ranged damage.
So if you want to be a worthy scientists you're forced to rush in enemy face and try get some kills, otherwise the lack of damage make you completely worthless compared to a sunflower
